The Statement calls for urgent action to protect these endangered ecosystems.

The Statement advocates for the promotion of sustainable pastoralism and livestock production as essential practices for conserving biodiversity in grasslands and rangelands. It highlights that natural grasslands and rangelands worldwide are critically endangered and calls for urgent action to protect and maintain the vital services they provide.
