The partners of the Alliance for Mediterranean Nature and Culture will soon gather in Turkey for the AMNC Biodiversity Impact Common Framework workshop, which will take place on April 5-7, 2022, in Mersin! The workshop will be organised by the IUCN Centre for Mediterranean Cooperation and hosted by Yolda.
The aim of the workshop is to design a common framework that will reveal the contribution of the field studies and conservation projects carried out within the scope of the Alliance for Mediterranean Nature and Culture in different geographies of the Mediterranean region, such as Albania, France, Greece, Lebanon, Morocco, Portugal, Spain, Tunisia, and Turkey. With the common framework to be prepared at the end of the workshop, it is aimed at disseminating the benefits of the cultural landscapes and cultural practices to the biodiversity of the Basin.
Stay tuned to review our scientific studies that exhibit how mobile pastoralism, as a cultural practice, conserves and increases biodiversity!
