A new publication from the FAO’s Pastoralist Knowledge Hub, “Making Way: Developing National Legal and Policy Frameworks for Pastoral Mobility,” has been released. Co-authored by Michael Odhiambo and Pablo Manzano, with contributions from Engin Yılmaz of Yolda Initiative, it aims to guide legal frameworks securing pastoral mobility.
A new publication on pastoralism is out!
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) Pastoralist Knowledge Hub handbook “Making way: developing national legal and policy frameworks for pastoral mobility” has been recently published. The publication was co-authored by Michael Odhiambo and Pablo Manzano and developed with the contributions of Engin Yılmaz of Yolda Initiative among other collaborators.
The overall objective of the handbook is to guide the development of legal and policy frameworks for securing mobility for various pastoral production systems and practices. Calling for the legal recognition and securing of pastoral mobility, it aims to respond to the needs of policy-makers, pastoralists and relevant organisations.
